Whoah! I'm a married woman! JKP and I were wed on the 19th. Pics to follow after I get them from my photographer/check out mother in law's camera. We had a great wedding at a historic venue in Halifax, NS, The Carleton.
[link] venue was especially special to me because The Carleton used to be Carleton House, where I did costume studies (the year after that it moved to the Pete's Frootique mall off of Spring Garden). We had a super JP, a swell meal, forgot the cake but sent brother in law to fetch it and all was well. I ended up not making my dress (I just consistently haven't had the space to work on it, or regular access to somebody to help me fit it) so we bought a lovely dress from a dress shop in my home town and I made my veil. I also commissioned my former room mate, a jewelery-maker, to put together a set of pearls and matching earrings for me and she did a fantastic job. Champagne-colored pearls with little swarvoski crystals. We spent our wedding night at the Waverley Inn on Barrington Street and stayed in the Oriental room, which had a bathroom bigger than my whole apartment! (
